ALYSSA ANDREWS
Massage & Kinesiology
Alyssa is a licensed Massage Therapist, Kinesiologist, and Owner of Belmont Wellness Center. Her expertise also includes craniosacral, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage. Working side-by-side with Dr. David and Dr. Avanda Demperio as their Chiropractic Assistant and Massage Therapist for over 10 years, she focused on maximizing patient goals and overall physical health. As an avid athlete, she understands the many benefits of working the whole body to achieve maximum benefits in posture, athletic performance and correcting the imbalances of the musculoskeletal system resulting in faulty movement patterns.

A native of the small town of Wareham, Massachusetts, Alyssa grew up in Southwest Florida. After relocating to North Carolina in 2009, she graduated with Honors from Southeastern Institute of Charlotte NC, specializing in Neuromuscular Massage. She resides here in Belmont with her son, Luke who will be a junior at South Point High School in the fall. In her down time, you can find Alyssa with her son at high school football games - GO BIG RED!!!
With over thirty-five years of clinical and teaching experience in acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and integrative health, Camilo Sanchez is a respected practitioner and educator in the field of Oriental healing arts. He is a licensed acupuncturist and published author with a master’s degree in Oriental medicine and has dedicated his life to helping clients overcome sports injuries and chronic pain throughout the Americas. Through his expertise, he delves into the underlying nature of imbalances, addressing root causes and providing personalized treatment plans. As a holistic health educator and master instructor of Qigong, Tai Chi, and Taoist Yoga, Camilo empowers his clients to actively participate in their own wellness journey, becoming partners in their healing process.

Camilo is a past faculty member of the Acupuncture and Massage College in Florida and the Atlantic University of Chinese Medicine. He has been featured on national television and on radio on the subjects of Chinese medicine and integrated health. He is founder and director of the Empower Life Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he provides customized healing and treatment programs. His expansion to Belmont Wellness Center provides individuals in Gaston County with access to treatment, private instruction, and mind and body wellness consulting.
Meagan is a dedicated licensed acupuncturist, certified by the NCCAOM. In 2016, she achieved her Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Having established a thriving solo acupuncture practice in Colorado, Meagan brought her expertise to Gaston County in 2021, further enriching the local wellness landscape. Her years of practice have yielded profound success in treating a diverse range of health concerns, from chronic pain to migraines, digestive issues, infertility, and emotional struggles.
Meagan's journey into acupuncture was kindled by her own battle with migraines, which conventional medications couldn't alleviate. Her transformative experience with acupuncture ignited a passion for this ancient healing modality. Meagan's commitment extends to merging the age-old wisdom of acupuncture with modern lifestyles, tailoring treatments to each patient's unique needs for optimal outcomes. Additionally, her heartfelt mission to support those seeking to quit smoking naturally stems from the tragic loss of four family members to lung cancer. Beyond her professional endeavors, Meagan enjoys reading and embracing the wonders of North Carolina's natural beauty through nature walks, hikes, kayaking, and beach outings.
Frances Pennington R.N. is originally from Jackson, MS and brings 31 years of nursing expertise, including 5 years with Atrium Health, to her role at Belmont Wellness Center. She is trained as a Vascular Access Nurse for the past three years, ensuring your IV start is safe and comfortable. She excels in administering IV Hydration through DeweyCareSystem, ensuring optimal health outcomes. Kevin Burke is an experienced practitioner and instructor of the Health or Meditation Form of Tai Chi Ch’uan. His journey began in 1998 at the renowned Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, under the tutelage of Kenn Chase, a Tai Chi teacher since the 1960s. Building upon years of dedicated study, Kevin started sharing his knowledge by teaching the Form in 2002 at Esalen Institute and has since continued to inspire and guide students in group classes across various fitness centers, community centers, hotels, dance studios, gyms, and yoga studios. Additionally, Kevin offers private lessons to those seeking a more personalized approach.

The Health Form of Tai Chi, rooted in ancient Chinese practices, encompasses a series of gentle, flowing, and graceful movements. Kevin's expertise lies in the Yang Style Short Form, comprising 54 poses or postures, as passed down through the Choy Family lineage.
